This is a recipe from a new favourite website of mine, Planning with Kids. When I saw the recipe (http://planningwithkids.com/2011/06/26/easy-chocolate-slice-recipe/) my first thought was how easy it was …. so I knew how super easy it would be with a Thermomix. I immediately printed out the recipe and gave it a go and I really do think this is the winner of the easiest chocolate slice recipe ever!!
125 g butter
140 g self raising flour
140 g brown sugar
30 g of desiccated coconut
15 g cocoa
1 egg
Optional: Natural 100s and 1000s to decorate
Preheat the oven to 180˚C and line a slice baking tray with baking paper.
Place butter in TM bowl and melt for 3 minutes at 60˚C on Speed 2 or until butter completely melted.
Add remainder of ingredients and mix for 10 seconds on Speed 4, stopping to scrape down side of bowl if necessary.
Pour into prepared baking tray and sprinkle with 100s and 1000s if using.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes (the slice will harden as it cools).
Allow the chocolate slice to cool in the baking tin for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
Cut into slices and enjoy!
Told you it was easy
Happy baking xx
