Happy New Financial Year Everyone!!
Yes, I know I’m a bit late but I’ve got news that makes it worth the wait….its double rewards month!! Host a demo this month and not only you can receive all the usual fab host rewards but you can receive our new and exclusive 2.5 litre oval ThermoServer. I have been lucky enough to have been able to trial the oval ThermoServer and I love it! The oval shape enables you to use your ThermoServer for a whole different range of food! Fish dishes fit perfectly in the oval shape as does meatloaf and sausages to name but a few!
I hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter which contains a very delicious Hazel Caramel Slice recipe. This decadent slice is a little bit naughty but oh so nice. I couldn’t stop at one even though my hips were telling me to!! It’s a lovely slice to share with friends over a coffee.
If you would like to get your own exclusive oval ThermoServer please call or email your local Thermomix consultant ASAP!
Wishing you a wonderful month!
Happy cooking,
Simone
Hello!
I love your newsletter and enjoy the receipes very much. I am from Germany and envy you for the wonderful Thermoserver! Is there a chance to order one and have it sent to Germany? I would apreciate a short note and wish you a wonderful day!
Birgit
Hello Birgit,
Yes, our ThermoServers are wonderful but they are also exclusive to Australia and are an exclusive host rewards to make them even more special! As such I am unable to order any ThermoServers unless a demostration is held. We do love our ThermoServers here though…they keep food hot or cold for up to two hours so are very handy.
So pleased you enjoy the newsletters and recipes
I wish you a wonderful day too Birgit x
I made the Hazel Caramel Slice yesterday – just a few comments and suggestions. Before I say anything else – it was absolutely YUMMY (although I did shudder at the decadence of it!!!) I substituted almonds for hazelnuts and instead of spreading them over the base I stirred them into the caramel for a few seconds after it had finished cooking. The recipe says 180ml condensed milk – is this meant to be grams? I tried the home made condensed milk – was rapt to find a recipe for that, but after being in the fridge overnight it was extremely hard. Any ideas on that? Now after eating that slice I reckon I’ve had my sugar allocation for the next 10 years………..!
Hi Julie, I did warn that the slice was a little bit naughty! So glad you enjoyed it, I agree that it is very yummy
Great suggestion about stirring the nuts through and of course you can substitute any nut for the hazelnuts. The recipe is actually a fellow team members so I will check with her re the grams and mls of the condensed milk though the weights are often the same/similar so I don’t think it would make any difference to this recipe what measurement you used. I’ll also ask on facebook (Thermomix Essentials) about the hardening of the homemade condensed milk and see what suggestions people have. Oh, and ignore the sugar allocation, this slice is too nice not to make within the next 10 years lol!!!! x
