Coffee Sorbet

Coffee Sorbet
Approx cost $0.60 and makes just under 1 kg

Ingredients
100-150 g raw sugar (vary to suit taste)
125 g strong black coffee (cold)
50 g dry milk powder (either skim or full cream as preferred)
2 x 350 g ice cubes

Method

  1. Place sugar in TM bowl and mill for 10 seconds on Speed 9.
  2. Add the milk powder followed by 350 g ice cubes and coffee.  Slowly turn the dial to Speed 10 and process for approximately 20 seconds.
  3. Add the remaining ice and use the spatula to assist in incorporating for approximately 1 minute Speed 10 depending on the size of the ice cubes.
  4. Serve immediately.

 Variations

Can add a raw egg white to give more volume or uses frozen milk cubes for an “ice coffee” style flavour.

Add coffee liqueur for added punch!
